Greetings from The Porch!
Up here in the North Country our hometown is beginning to
don its holiday clothes. Dressed in amber fires and downy snowflakes, the season of thankfulness and
the essence of Christmas are almost upon us with precious gifts of the Spirit wrapped in miracles of
love, forgiveness, thankfulness, selflessness, generosity, compassion, charity, peace and tidings of
comfort and joy.

While hands and minds are busy with preparation for the holidays,
winter is beginning to drift into our town. Take a moment to nudge yourself gently into a winter frame of mind
with this easy and yummy recipe from Gooseberry Patch's Cozy Country Christmas Cookbook.
Caramel Sticky Roles
| Just as tasty as Mom's caramel rolls... yet oh-so easy to make! |
1/2 c. chopped pecans
12 frozen dinner rolls
3.4-oz. pkg. cook & serve butterscotch pudding mix
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed |

Sprinkle nuts in the bottom of a greased 13"x9" baking pan; arrange rolls on top of nuts. Sprinkle dry
pudding over rolls; set aside. Bring margarine and brown sugar to a boil together in a small saucepan; pour over
rolls. Cover with greased aluminum foil; let rise at room temperature, 6 to 8 hours or overnight. Bake at 350
degrees for 30 minutes. Turn out of pan immediately.
